The Irish Flag. What does it means?

Did you ever thouth about what does the Irish flag means??
I'm going to explain it to you in a very short way.
Ireland is divided into two parts, the northern part which is from England and the souther part or the republic which it is an independent country. So the green part of the flag represents the republic, the orange part of the flag represents the north and the white part represents peace, so the Irish flag means:Peace between the north and the south(republic).
